Finds Table Community Guidelines
Welcome
Welcome to Finds Table! Our community brings together passionate detectorists, explorers, and history enthusiasts who share a love for discovery and respect for the past. To ensure that Finds Table remains a welcoming and inspiring place for everyone, we've outlined the following community guidelines. By using Finds Table, you agree to follow these principles.
1. Respect and Courtesy
Respectful Communication
Treat all members with kindness and respect. Harassment, threats, or abusive comments are not tolerated. We're here to share and learn, not to argue or insult.
Personal Boundaries
Do not send unwanted messages or repeatedly contact users who have not replied. Always respect others' comfort and space.
2. Community Integrity
Authenticity
Use your real name or a consistent username, and represent yourself honestly. Impersonation or false representation is not allowed.
Respect the Environment and Each Other
Practice ethical detecting and protect the land you explore. Fill your holes, dispose of trash responsibly, and treat heritage with care. Be respectful in your comments, and support a positive, friendly atmosphere.
3. Responsible Detecting
Follow Local Laws
Always comply with the metal detecting and heritage protection laws in your country or region. It is your responsibility to obtain proper permissions before detecting on any land.
Declare Finds When Required
If your discovery falls under national or regional treasure reporting laws (for example, archaeological or valuable historical finds), you must declare it according to local regulations.
No Selling Illegal Items
Do not post, trade, or sell items that were obtained or exported illegally.
4. Nudity and Explicit Content
Cultural Sensitivity
We share our discoveries with people from many backgrounds. Avoid posting content that could be considered explicit, offensive, or disrespectful. Images of finds that depict historical nudity (such as statues or art) are acceptable in context.
Appropriate Content
Finds Table is not the place for sexually explicit, violent, or shocking material. Keep your posts focused on detecting, history, and discovery.
5. Privacy
Confidentiality
Never share another user's private information—such as location, contact details, or personal photos—without their consent.
Location Sharing
Be careful when posting the GPS coordinates or exact locations of your finds. To protect heritage sites, we encourage sharing approximate areas only.
Consent for Photos
If people appear in your photos, make sure you have their permission before posting.
6. Constructive Communication
Be Helpful and Encouraging
Share your knowledge, answer questions, and celebrate the finds of others. We grow as a community by helping each other.
Constructive Feedback
If you comment on someone's post, keep it friendly and respectful. Constructive feedback is welcome — criticism is not.
7. Meeting in Real Life
Safe and Respectful Meetups
If you decide to meet another member in person for a detecting outing or event, do so safely and respectfully. Meet in public places first, let someone know where you'll be, and never pressure others into meeting or sharing personal information.
8. Reporting Issues
Report Misconduct
Use the in-app reporting tools to flag inappropriate content or behavior. Our moderation team will review and act accordingly.
Help Us Improve
If you notice a problem or have suggestions, reach out to our support team. Finds Table is a community effort, and your feedback matters.
9. Compliance with Laws
Respect Legal and Ethical Boundaries
Follow all applicable laws, including those related to metal detecting, heritage protection, and land access. Finds Table is not responsible for any illegal detecting activities.
Stay Safe
Use your equipment responsibly and respect property boundaries, wildlife, and local regulations.
10. Community Spirit
